What drives you in the project
Having identified/developed the idea of the reactor-cycle system vision for a more efficient fuel that is easier to manufacture, easier to transport, easier to reprocess, for savings across the entire life cycle and at all levels, to redefine the competitiveness of the fast reactor sector.
Your background before Otrera
As a materials engineer (PHELMA-ENSEEG/DEA Materials Science), I worked for 30 years on the manufacturing, behavior, and operation of metallic materials and nuclear fuel in particular. I held various positions and functions as a researcher, project manager, laboratory head, operations manager and deputy head of INB, PMS executive, project leader, at the 3 CEA ‘fuel’ nuclear facilities (U, Pu, irradiated). In particular, I was responsible for manufacturing the Astrid core.
