The selection brings together emerging companies developing technologies deemed a priority for France. For Otrera, this marks both a recognition of its achievements and the start of a year of collaboration with the government.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Launched in 2023 as part of the France 2030 plan, the program primarily supports deep-tech companies. For twelve months, each recipient receives individual and collective support from the government and its partners on issues critical to its development: financing, industrial setup, public procurement, intellectual property, and international expansion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">Recognition for the French sodium industry<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This selection recognizes the work carried out by Otrera on its <a href=\"https:\/\/otrera.fr\/reacteur-otrera-une-nouvelle-generation-de-nucleaire-modulaire-et-souverain\/\">sodium-cooled fast neutron reactor (RNR-Na)<\/a>. As a reactor designer and systems integrator, Otrera is developing a fourth-generation modular reactor capable of producing low-carbon electricity and heat. This support comes at just the right time, as Otrera scales up to industrial production.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">A milestone in industrial development<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">2026 will have been an eventful year for Otrera. In the spring, the announcement of a <a href=\"https:\/\/otrera.fr\/otrera-implantation-cherbourg-cotentin\/\">plant and a technology hub in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin<\/a> gave the project a concrete industrial location. A few weeks later, a <a href=\"https:\/\/otrera.fr\/communique-de-presse-otrera-levee-17-millions-2026\/\">\u20ac17 million funding round<\/a>\u2014marked by EDF\u2019s acquisition of a stake in the company\u2014launched the Detailed Preliminary Design phase for the reactor.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">French Tech 2030 builds on this momentum.
