Plutonium (Pu)<\/a> is on everyone’s lips \u2014 or almost \u2014 but what are the actual needs and impacts on the fuel cycle?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deploying SMRs will require mobilizing part of the existing French Pu stocks, which will be reinjected into the fuel cycle after use. How much needs to be mobilized or produced, and by when? How much reprocessed Pu will be available \u2014 and on what timeline? <\/p>\n
