OTRERA has secured €17 million in new funding, combining equity investment and France 2030 grants. The round brings together a consortium of leading strategic shareholders: Groupe ADF, EDF Group, Isospin Exergon, Ingerop, Fortil Group, Normandie Participations, Onet Technologies, REEL Group and SNEF Group.
This milestone marks the program’s entry into a new phase of advanced engineering and industrial readiness. It will enable OTRERA to launch the Detailed Design phase of its sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR), validate its technological choices through dedicated test facilities, scale up its engineering, safety and industrialization teams, and begin the first operational studies for its future manufacturing site in Normandy.
Building on this structuring round, OTRERA has already announced its intention to launch a further fundraise of at least €40 million by the end of 2026, dedicated to raising the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of critical components, pursuing advanced engineering studies, and accelerating the factory project.
Full details of the funding round, the program’s next milestones, and statements from the shareholders are available in the official press release.
